Weekend med Laura Shekerjian

OPENING THE DOOR OF THE BODY TO UNCOVER THE ESSENTIAL SELF

Weekend workshops with Laura Shekerjian
Copenhagen 15th-17th of February, 2019

As we move through life, our body and breath are our closest companions. They are ever-present but often ignored. Our state of being is expressed through our posture, movement and breath. Through enlivening our awareness of them, we are able to transform the contractions of stress into more expansive and creative states.

In this workshop we will use simple practices to bring meditative awareness to the way habitual, limited identities are reflected in how we sit, move, and breathe. The practices support us to recognize and loosen these identities.

This enables us to immerse ourselves more fully in the underlying expanse of our true nature, which is vast, free, and infinitely generative. When we become able to express ourselves from this larger sense of self, we feel vividly present and creatively engaged in everything we do.

About Laura Shekerjian
Laura is a psychotherapist practicing in Berkeley, California. She’s a longtime practitioner of Bön Buddhism and a senior teacher for THE 3 DOORS, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through meditation. Her interest in the body as a path of self-transformation arose from many years of teaching in the Somatic Psychology department at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California, and from extensive study and practice of tsa lung trul khor, (the yoga of the Bön tradition), Kum Nye, and hatha yoga.
